1. The Dark: When Rob was asked by Bravo magazine what scares him he replied: “Darkness! I can’t fall asleep without a light! …And I don’t like driving. Even in a taxi.”
2. Clowns: He explained: ”The first time I went to the circus somebody died. One of the clowns died. His little car exploded. The joke car exploded on him. Seriously. Everybody ran out. It was terrifying.”
3. Getting stabbed! : ”My brain doesn’t really accept fame, so it’s fine. I can be put anywhere and it just goes completely over my head. I just don’t want to get stabbed or something.
4. Fears over doing theatre: Talking to Elle magazine, he explained: ‘I’d really, really love to do a play in London but I’d just be afraid it would turn into an N Sync concert. Or people would come along expecting it to be like Twilight.
5. Fame: ”I haven’t found one place in the world yet where I could disappear. Even the most remote places I can imagine, someone will ask me for a picture with them or an autograph. Honestly, I didn’t think that I would be recognized so easily,”
6. Horses: “I had to get knocked down by a horse. That was terrifying,” the 24-year-old actor told USA Today. “It was just one split second but (it was) a fully grown stallion…I’m kind of relatively scared of horses as well. I’m just glad I didn’t have to ride any of them. I’m not particularly good at horse riding.”
7. HIV from all his bloodsucking: “People ask me to bite them and want to touch my hair. I just don’t want someone to have a needle and give me HIV and I don’t want to get shot or stabbed.”
8. Dating: “I can never live up to the image that the media has created; I am not that ‘hunk.’ Besides that there is always the fear that women only want to date me because I’m famous, and with a little bad luck they will go straight to the gossip press afterward.”
9. Deaththreats: “I go through [fan mail] myself. But I think I might get them censored, because I’m always expecting to get the one thing that says, ‘I know where you live and I’m going to kill you!’”
10. Buying a house: ”I’ve been forced to stay in a hotel for the last three years, which is frustrating. I almost gave in and bought a house in Hollywood. But luckily I realised how insanely expensive that is and I don’t even know if I’ll still be working next year.”
As an actress how does it feel to be in the final installment of Twilight?
“I feel so excited, I have been acting for a while and I honestly feel this is my favorite role so far. I have always had a love of vampires so this film has given me a change to explore them further. Its great to be part of something that is so popular right now, and it is amazing to be part of a cast that is so big and diverse. My character also is exciting to play – it is the first time I have ever played anyone with a special power!”
Time does indeed fly when it comes to the movie industry. It feels like a heartbeat ago when the books made worldwide impact and now we are all awaiting the final two-parts of Breaking Dawn.
Have you read the books before?
“Yes, I was on a cruise and my friend finished the first book and gave it to me to read .It took me about 30 pages and then I got sucked into Edwards and Bella’s love – the love they have is so deep and complex I literally couldn’t put it down, I then raced through the other books as quick as possible and was one of the people with tickets in advance to see the first movie. To now get the chance to be in the movie really is just an incredible adventure that one can only dream of.”All the loyal Twilight fans will be introduced to Zafrina, the Amazonian vampire that plays a crucial role in helping the Cullens to achieve safety from the Volturi. For those of you that do not enjoy spoilers, I will omit the major plot of the movie. With the power to project powerful images, she will prove to be a very likable and strong character.
What are some characteristics of Zafrina you like?
“She is strong and powerful, she also is in touch with nature. I have a deep respect to nature and the environment and so love playing a character that is so connected. I love her relationship with Senna as I feel that women do have a strong bond with each other and I like how they take care of each other. I think her special power is so exciting, I am very interested in the human mind and its capabilities so I am fascinated by her mental special powers and it gave me a chance to explore what it would be like to have it and how it would work. I also like her connection with the baby – as it shows her motherly instincts.”What projects are in the pipelines for you?
“Right now, I am right in the middle of Zafrina’s world, and enjoying ever second of it. I also will be for a good while now. I keep working on a role even when I am shooting it so it takes up a lot of my time. I also plan to head to Africa when I finish as I own a hair extension brand – Extension Evolution. We are expanding the brand into Africa.”What are some secrets on set of Breaking Dawn you can share?
“I can only share my own … I keep awake during night shoots with coffee and chocolate, I occupy myself between shots with ‘Words with Friends’ on my iPhone (it is a great game) and I listen to a little of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Wicked Wisdom albums to get me into character… some very ‘vampiric’ songs…”There is no stopping this fireball of an actress and be prepared to be scorched once The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 hits our cinemas. The movie will be released in two parts. Sooner than later we hope!
